Visit us at 328 Bedford Ave for the best coffee in Williamsburg, NY

We’ve been here since 2003, passionate about sharing quality coffee, roasted in small batches, and grown using sustainable practices and fair wages. We care about everyone in our process, from the growers at the start of the process to our neighbors enjoying the coffee each day.

Coffee roasting has been a part of Brooklyn since the 1800s. In 1871, John and Charles Arbuckle became the first merchants to sell packaged, roasted coffee. While we haven’t been a part of this neighborhood for quite that long, we are proud to be part of the thriving Williamsburg coffee scene. We are pioneers of the specialty coffee movement in NYC.

We opened this shop when many still overlooked this neighborhood and its sincere, unpretentious vibe. Many of our Roebling Street customers, who would walk to our shop there from the Bedford Avenue area, encouraged us to open a shop on the other side of the neighborhood. So we did! This shop quickly developed a personality of its own, becoming a central place for the diverse tapestry of locals who make up this south side of Williamsburg.

Our shop is a great place for reading and people watching while you enjoy your coffee. Across the street, you'll find the Miriam Art Gallery and Bookstore, an artist-run establishment that embodies the originality and community that define Williamsburg. For our creative customers—artists, musicians, and writers—if a walk is part of your process, the Domino Waterfront Park and the pedestrian entrance to the Williamsburg Bridge are both just a short walk away.

Our shop, located on the iconic Bedford Avenue, serves espresso beverages and filter-brewed coffee made from high-quality beans we’ve roasted ourselves. Looking for iced coffee in Brooklyn, no matter what the weather is? We have you covered, too.  We also offer our own roasted blends and rotating seasonal offerings to take home with you.

Bedford Avenue, the longest street in New York, is home to historical landmarks, corner shops, and anything else you can think of. Our stretch of it is home to a tight-knit community that rallied behind us when we experienced a fire in 2013. We are proud to give back today through our involvement in donations and fundraisers that help keep our local small businesses and organizations going.

Our Setup

Most coffee shops use semi-automatic espresso machines. Here at our Bedford Avenue location, we use a piston-driven machine. Operated with a manual lever, it provides a much greater degree of control than the semi-automatic types. It makes a great-tasting shot.

We have three coffee houses in Brooklyn. We invite you to learn more about and visit our other locations as well!
